Fallen Among Thieves

Jesus said a certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. Every step from Jerusalem to Jericho was going down, down, down! Usually, the spiritual decline downward is not recognized by those headed that way until it is too late to reverse the consequences. Lured away by the beckoning call of Jericho until sinful desires become more important than obeying and pleasing God. Repeatedly, God graciously issues the call to repentance and to turn around but when His calls are ignored and refused there are sad consequences.
