The Jeopardy of Ministry

The purpose of this sermon was to encourage the staff and congregation to work together. David was in the cave of Adullam surrounded by those who were distressed, in debt, and afflicted. He longed for water from the well in Bethlehem and as soon as his three mighty men heard his desire, they retrieved water from the well at the jeopardy of their own lives to minister to David. Nevertheless, David would not drink it because of the great sacrifice they made to retrieve it; he poured it out as a drink offering to the Lord.
