Without Christ There Is No Christmas
The big thing about Christmas is Christ, as it should be, it is the celebration of His birth. It would seem very odd to have a birthday celebration without the guest of honor. What if you spent weeks decorating, buying gifts, making out a guest list, preparing food and planning the entertainment but then forget to invite the one for whom the celebration is all about. But that’s seems to be what happens more and more each year.
We look around and we see: Mickey Mouse, the Grinch, Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty, and Santa, but where is Jesus? Have we misplaced or even lost the Christ of Christmas? There should be a light beaming down and the guest of honor should be the center of attention. But every year Jesus gets pushed further and further away from the celebration.
