Slumbering Saints & Sleeping Sinners Part II

We are on high alert today; it is no time to slumber or sleep. It is high time to wake up from sleep!

When we sleep, we are in a subconscious state and unaware of what is happening around us. When we slumber, we allow personal ease to compete with spiritual responsibilities and the things of God go neglected.

Amos 6:1 a

1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria.

Judgment was coming and this evil nation that once trusted in God was going to be judged by God Himself!

Amos, whose name means, “burdened” or “troubled”. Amos had a BURDEN as GOD’S WATCHMAN, watching for men’s souls, as they that must give account. O that we might be BURDENED about the state of God’s people.
