The Judgment Was Set, & the Books Were Opened

There are terrible woes pictured in the Bible for the unsaved. How terrible it will be for Christ rejecting sinners.

Hebrews 10:31

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Yet knowing this, how is it that sinners are no longer being challenged from the pulpit to be saved? In modern churches, sinners are viewed with a consumer mentality and preachers act like salesmen trying to convince them to buy a product. To get someone to buy something or buy into something, it must sound appealing.

That’s why repentance, the blood of the Lamb and the shame of the cross have been removed from modern day preaching. Sinners hear a Sunday morning informercial on how they can become healthy, wealthy and wise if they come to Jesus.
