The Healing Power of Forgiveness

Mar 10, 2024    Bishop Rick D Brackett

Every one of us without exception has been hurt or will be hurt by someone. It may be a:

•Spouse’s Unfaithfulness

•Co-worker’s Grudge

•Parent’s Broken Promise

•Friend’s Betrayal

Sometimes hurts are verbal, whoever made up the thing about sticks and stones didn’t know what they were talking about because words hurt. Insults, ridicule, and sarcasm can hurt and leave wounds and scars for a lifetime. Mental and emotional abuse are just as painful if not more so than physical abuse. Some are still suffering today from a wound that you’ve had for years because someone hurt you deeply. We live in a world filled with hurting and wounded people.

Job 24:12 a

12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out.
