Do You Know What Time It Is

Everyone has a set amount of time in this life. Time is our most precious resource because it is perishable and irreplaceable. Verse 10 says, “The days of our years or the length of our days.” Even with the gift of modern medicine, we haven’t been able to extend the average lifespan beyond that which the Word of God declares.

The average life expectancy in the U.S. is 79 years. The global average is 73.2 years. Those years have a way of slipping by; “Like sands through an hourglass, so are the days of our lives”. Sand never runs upward in the hourglass; each grain of sand is like each day that passes. Time moves along silently and before we know it, it has gone by.

We look at our lives and realize that time has moved on and that our past has become but a glimpse.

We didn’t even notice just how quickly it moved on.
